Auxiliary Nurse Midwife

Auxiliary Nurse Midwife, commonly known as ANM, is a female health worker in India who is known as the first contact person between the community and the health services. ANMs are regarded as the grass-roots workers in the health organisation pyramid. Their services are considered important to provide safe and effective care to communities. The role may help communities achieve the targets of national health programmes.
The Malwa Group strives to provide continued leadership in non-traditional education with an emphasis on educating licensed practical nurses to advance to the associate degree registered nurse level; to offer opportunities to men and women of diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds and to those who might otherwise have been excluded from career advancement; to prepare graduates who benefit from their increased level of expertise; and to provide the base for further professional education.
